On the Tkabber CVS there are some external plugins. You can download them directly from CVS using the instructions available on the Documentation.

The common installation procedure is to copy the plugin directory to $HOME/.tkabber/plugins. Tkabber will automatically load the plugins when it's started. Tkabber Starpacks <= 0.10.0 already include all the plugins, starting from 0.11.0 you have to download and install them separately

The plugins that you will surely want to try are: Chess, GeoRoster and Whiteboard.

Checkers

Online checkers game (also known as draughts) for two players using a specialized Jabber protocol. Features:

• Send invitation. When installed, you can send an invitation to any contact (use contextual menu on the roster). If the other player has also Tkabber and the plugin installed, he will recieve the invitation. If he accepts, a window will open on both.
• Several versions of the checkers rules are implemented: straight, russian, american, spanish and italian checkers.
• Show possible moves: it shows possible moves for any piece, and allows only those moves.
• Show last move.
• History of movements.
• Flip view.
• Select color.
• Propose draw, accept/deny opponent draw.
• Resign the game.
• Themeable
• Allow illegal moves: if the two players agree, it's possibly to bypass movements rules for debugging purposes.

Georoster

World map. It tries to position your contacts using the data on vcard. You can also drag and drop your contacts from the roster on their possitions.

Iconsets

Several iconsets, borrowed from other Jabber clients, now are represented in this plugin.

Latex

Displays formulas in LaTeX notation as embedded images, generated by LaTeX and ImageMagick.

Spy

Logs your contacts presence changes to a window or to a file. Allows to setup alert window for certain contacts.

Tclchat

Plugin, which makes chatting in Tclers' chat (tcl@tach.tclers.tk) easier. It recognises a bot, which connects Jabber room with IRC channel, and maps IRC users to Jabber conference participants.

Tkabber-khim

Plugin that adds KHIM (an alternative input method by Kevin Kenny) support to Tkabber.

Traffic

Approximately accounts incoming and outgoing XMPP traffic by addressees. Traffic estimation is good only if no stream compression or encryption is used. But even if the absolute values are incorrect, it still allows to find which remote JID consumes the highest traffic amount.

Whiteboard

Shared whiteboard, allows two contacts or a whole chatroom to draw collaboratively.
