X.org error (?)

Hi all!

I found tkabber recently and seems to me that it might be the best jabber client.
However, obviously, I have a problem when I want to run it:

$ tkabber
X Error of failed request: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 1 (X_CreateWindow)
Value in failed request: 0xb9
Serial number of failed request: 342
Current serial number in output stream: 344

Does anyone have any idea what might be wrong or what I should do to make it work??
(I am using gentoo and have done "emerge tkabber" generally)

Seems to be Tcl/Tk or Xorg (which is more likely) error. I'm using old plain Xfree and never seen such an error.

It may be an old bug on Xorg or Tcl/Tk

I never saw that error, either back on XFree, or on the last 6 months that I run Xorg 6.8.x and 6.9.0.

Regarding Tcl/Tk, neither the old 8.4.9 or the recent 8.4.12 gave me any problems.

It could be a very specific bug on the Xorg or Tcl/Tk version he is running.

I have tcl-8.4.9 and

I have tcl-8.4.9 and X.org-6.8.2-r6.

Btw Is it possible for *bin version (tkabber-starpack_0.9.8-linux-x86.bin) to upgrade automatically itself?;)

Thanks for all comments!;)

suplement

I may add that I tried running binary version provided (great thing I suppose!) and it works well!:)

Still, I would like to have a version from portage to update my binary automatically when there is one.

Thank You in advance for any help!
