Error while loading shared libraries

When I try to open the downloaded file, I get this error message:

./tkabber-starpack_linux-x86.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

But libstdc++ _is_ installed. What is wrong?

Starpack requires an older libstdc++ version to run. Try to find it in your distribution.
