tkgtk - what's this?

Google returns about 36 results for "tkgtk", and none of them relates to computers.

So are you sure what are you talking about?

After all, what do you mean? Patching the Tkabber code to use GTK2 instead of Tk? I think it's more easy to write a new GTK2 XMPP client from scratch.

To be honest, this must one of the silliest ideas I've recently heard of... Why would anyone want to do that? Now, that prerelease versions of Tk have freetype antialiasing I don't see a single reason to use a different toolkit.

tkgtk+ is a tk gtk bindings

tkgtk+ is a tk gtk bindings. May be it is more fancy?

Bindings from one widget

Bindings from one widget toolkit to another is a thing no one ever heard of, I believe.

May be you meant Tcl bindings to GTK? They do exist (see http://tcl-gtk.sf.net/ for example), but anyway:
* No one yet came up with such idea (at least the Tkaber development team never heard about it from anyone);
* Tk is very tightly integrated with Tcl (which is cool) and thus Tkabber is very tightly integrated with Tk. Decoupling them is a really hard task;
* Tkabber team still sees no point in doing this. After all, "fancy" is not the paradigm Tkabber adheres to.
